TransUnion has reported that it experienced a data breach as a result of a ransomware attack. The company states that cyber criminals obtained access to their systems through credential compromise. TransUnion received a $15 million ransom demand from a group identifying themselves as N4ughtySec that they do not intend to pay. The group says they’re based in Brazil and that they have over 4TB of stolen data touching over 200 companies.
